Good morning all, I hope this post finds you all well and enjoying your weekend… and those of you in the States, enjoying your long weekend!
How many of you have fallen prey to this unending laptop battery recall? My grandmother, who swears she’ll never touch a computer as long as she lives, sent me an article on the Dell laptop battery recall. “What a pain,” I though as I tossed the article in the trash only to turn around and 3 hours later get an email from Apple stating my battery has been recalled as well. *sigh* It did get pretty warm when charging, but did you notice that companies have stopped calling them laptops and began to call them notebooks? No one wants to be responsible for those unsightly burns on the tops of your thighs.
Anyways, back to why we are here… This week coming from my husbands ‘notebook’, here are my pics for this week.
My fair lady, how I look forward to your pictures! (and I happen to love that movie too.) I’ve been in a glass ticket booth like this and it feels a bit like a fishtank… But it’s fun act like the gatekeeper!
I’m a push-over for blue, but this is just a beautiful shot!
I LOVE the stripes, the interesting angle, the cute little toes… I don’t think I’ve seen ONE photo booth in all of Alabama.
It’s interesting to see how many of us get stuck in our cars. I’ve said this before, I know, and I fall into this trap too… But man… I found this shot great though, and for a refection photo I like that you can’t see the camera.
It’s funny, at first I though she had pigtails. It’s a nice little illusion, and again, a lovely blue.
Can’t wait to see who you include in your projects next month guys, till then…

Ok, I know I say it everytime I post, but this week was amazing! Really it was so hard to choose, each one was great! I have really enjoyed this theme, such creativity! I am a bit tired so here are my favorites, I wish I could have picked them all.
Nobody Cares What You Ate For BreakfastWhen I look at this picture I feel scared and tense. I’ve watched my share of Cold Case Files and Unsolved Mysteries to know that a man in a skimask is a man to be feared. Know what I mean? But then I read the post that goes with this picture and it turns out he is not a heartless killer, but rather a man who feels like he “just wants to hide.” But still….he makes me feel like making sure the windows and doors are locked tight.
Looney Tunes
Another masked person. Only she is not scary. She must look like a movie star under that ninja-like mask of hers because those are some amazing eyes. She makes me feel like asking for her autograph.
Bogi Bell
It looks like she tripped and fell into the tub. I love that you can see her legs in motion. She makes me feel like asking her if she is okay.
Amystery
She is enclosed in a season and it is breathtaking. The red of the leaves and her red hair are an amazing combination. Even though it is hot as an oven where I am, when I look at this photograph I can almost feel the crisp autumn air. Ahhhh, it feels good. She makes me long for the fall.
Enclosed on a plane. I like this photo a lot. Maybe because come this Saturday I will be eclosed on a plane just she is. She makes me feel like I was sitting next to her going home.
I’ve been out of town at my parents’ for a month now. And after 30 days of sleeping in a twin bed with my two year old, I’m afraid that I’m without words. But I can’t rest until I share five of my faves from this week with you. Here they are, in no particular order sans commentary.
I’m going on holiday in 7 more days!!! 7 days!! I’m so excited. So excited I almost forgot that it was my turn on SPC:) So many more lovely lovely enclosures this week. eye candy, I tell ya, eye candy. this week MY picks fall into 2 categories, amusing, and beautiful:
Beautiful first:
enclosed within
enclosed in darkness, headed to the light
submerged
enclosed in cozy
Now onto amusing:
enclosed in hair
enclosed in dinosaur
It’s been a long week of going to work and then coming home to continue my master bathroom renovation. I was so antsy to get started this morning I nearly forgot about my weekly picks… and if it doesn’t kill me first, my picture next week will be of me in my newly tiled walk-in shower….
As you can tell by my one track mind and my rambling… I’m beat. So it’s just picks from here on out and I’ll spare you even more of my mumblings today. These are my favorites this week:
This is beauiful. I love, love, love it. It is so dreamy, airy, and just pretty. She makes me feel like I’m dreaming
Rainbow Stitches
Three sisters, all gorgeous. They make me feel like I’m missing out by not having a sister to be “equally young/old now” with.
Bits and Pieces
Gosh, when I look at this all I can think is that I wish I was the one walking on the beach. She makes me feel like I wish I were there.
Powerful. Those eyes, those eyes! Oh my gosh, [his] eyes. The white and black are striking, but those eyes make the photo. [He] makes me feel like encouraging you to go to [his] blog and read the post that goes with the photo.
I am fascinated with the muscles in her back, in the way her hair is falling, and the way she is able to fold herself up so tightly. She makes me feel like I could do this same pose even though I know I can’t.
There were so many elevators and cars and magnifications and possible extrusions, too! And very very clever interpretations. Both the ethereal and the spooky were evident. The closeted, the bottled, the boxed, the packed (and unpacked); the corked and uncorked.
i loved the texture captured in this shot. the screen imbues it with a painterly feel.
again with the texture, here. the lampshade in the top of the frame is evokes something…
still more crackling texture. the glass seems like icicles the way the shoot out from the vehicle’s frame.
sometimes it’s all about product, or lack thereof. gorgeous thick, glossy texture to her hair and skin.
mega roughness with this shell, and wow… what texture.
things begin to cool down with the shimmery feel of the reflective elevator doors and the soothing smoothness of the floor’s polished wood grain.
I didn’t know what to do with myself this morning! There were so few picks this week that I had free range. Maybe it IS easier to go later in the week.
Were you guys feeling a bit flat this week? Did you notice how many pictures were reflections? In a close cross-over category, did you notice how many of you were in your cars? I can’t tell you how many pictures I have of me in the drive-through at Subway…. and why is always Subway where I happen to have my camera handy? I don’t really even eat there all that often.
So… My picks this week will be a mix of those that followed the unspoken reflection theme, and a couple of other outstanding shots I love.
I think I chose this picture because I wish I could be sitting and having a quiet cup of coffee and reading at borders.. but it is a great shot and there is a lot to lose your self in here.
I could hang this in my house. The color, the lighting, the weird porcelain ear that became wall art, the human element..
What great theme repetition. Bubbles everywhere, even in the corners of the image.. and the whole thing is very monochromatic except for Jeremy standing in the middle.
Great photos, great editing, and great story. Check him out.
The rain! Oh, what great patterns it makes on a car window. The sun stripe and the spot of clarity… this image so simple and yet so interesting.
Ok, now for your weekend assignment. We’ve fallen behind a bit on the reader’s choice pictures, so if you have a favorite that has or hasn’t been posted this week, please let us know!
