Every Picture Tells a Story: Celebration 3 (Holli’s Pick)

I’ve been struggling with so many things right now and I can’t seem to find my groove. Just the fact (to me) it will be a huge achievement to get ONE SPC on my blog this month should speak volumes. This post isn’t about me (well, not really) but I loved the irony of finding a picture that told the story of motherhood when you’re down in it - but you’ve found your pace… and the title of the blog was “always a day late.”

The picture is pure charm and almost too perfect. I know if someone snapped me doing laundry with a baby in a basket it would not look that pretty, but that’s my dream right now. I want to be back to my crazed, frenetic pace where it was all in the air, but perfectly balanced.

That’s the beauty of art. We can choose to show ourselves at our best or our worst. And nobody ever knows what is reality unless they are in your shoes or in your house.

I have no idea if this is what it really looks like in Tonya’s house when she’s multi-tasking and cleaning, but if so… I so need pointers. And I am SO jealous.

Either way I love the picture. End of report.

Holli…

What I love about a picture is that it tells a story, but the story may be different to each and every one who sees it. I love that you have given this part of my life (laundry is my least fav of all the busty tasks of running my househould) such a graceful perspective and seen beauty in it. My house is not perfect, laundry is always overflowing, and I am usually in jammies when doing the chores…I promise…there was some serendipity working in my favor that morning!

Thanks for the highlight…I am touched!

Tonya, your photography is beautiful - and your spirit comes through.. as does your humor. Hugs to you.
