I have an Optio W10, waterproof, that is very easy to use. Small, light, accessible. I never use the flash.

I also use Canon Rebel xt. and the ISO is usually set on 800 or 1600, because I live in the land of constant sky skies. I usually have to change to settings depending on where and what I am shooting.

That remote that bazl was mentioning sounds like a great idea. My husband says he has one for his canon slr, hmmm, wondering if that will cross over to mine? ;)

nikon D50 is what i use! i don't have a regular setting. it depends on my mood and the lighting.
i recently bought a tripod and aquired an external flash...haven't had much time to play around, but i plan on digging in soon!

I used the cheap samsung. doesnt do much, and the pictures don't come out as clear and pretty as I would like. but it works for now. I'm hoping to save up and get a decent starter camera, anyone have any good ideas?

I have a Nikon D80 which I am totally in love with. For the majority of my self portraits I usually select a large aperature and a very low ISO, but it really depends on what I'm trying to achieve. The smartest purchase I made was the $15 remote.

I've got a Nikon D80 which I am very much in love with. When I'm taking a portrait type shot, I usually keep it in aperature priority with a fairly low ISO and the biggest aperature setting whatever lens I'm using has. I finally bought a remote control which has made taking self-portraits much easier.
