I can’t wait to see next months entries!!! RED is my favorite color!
Ah how I love the colour red. What better way to finish off the year than with a cheer. And red is the perfect colour for it.
Red is a colour charged with emotion - fierce and stongly felt emotion. Extreme feelings, hot tempers, blood and violence. Red is the colour of radical barbaric deeds, and of love and passion. Red expresses energy and fire and excitement and exhaustion. Red is excessive and rich and hot and sexual and exciting. Red is fun and fruity and luscious and sexy. Red is the colour of desire, of anger and of power.
So Red - go forth and show us what you have - have a little fun - its the holiday season after all.
Thanksgiving is one of these holidays that I both look forward to and dread. I’m not a big fan of your typical Thanksgiving menu… I mean, sure, I like mashed potatoes as much as the next person, but it always seems to me that quality and creativity get lost somewhere in the tradition. And who says that EVERY traditional dish need to be made? No party of six needs EIGHT side dishes and THREE types of pies! Family and a turkey sandwich would be just as pleasant to me…
So, in honor of the holiday, I’ll take this opportunity to up my pick count this week to EIGHT. One for every overcooked side dish I had to endure.
As usual, you have to read his post!
I hope that beyond the crazy amounts of food and family, you all had a great week.
Till next week,
-A

It looks like you all are having a whole lot of fun with this theme. I like that there’s a mix of perspectives on what defines “glam” — you’ve got the old school Hollywood beauties and the late ’70s freaks. Either way, it’s all beautiful and I loved going through the photos this week. Now I’ve gotta go dig up my old Roxy Music records.

So what is Glam?
It was a movement in the 1970’s music scene - most famously portrayed by David Bowie. Sequins, Lame, Big hair, Big make-up.
Think Studio 54, Warhol, Lou Reed (circa 70’s and 80’s), Bowie, T-Rex, Twisted Sisters. Overdone and, well there is no other word except glam. Glam is Glam.
It has moved on since then to the most common abbreviation for “glamourous” - sexy, done-up, out-of-the-ordinary. Glam is beautiful, amazing and extraordinary.
These fantastic themes make it some much easier to TAKE the picture… but it makes it that much harder to CHOOSE the pics for the week. There were some fabulous pictures this week, here’s a few of them:
